Jim Jilek started business brokering in 1974 and has owned his own business brokering company since 1976. Jim has listed and sold "Main Street Businesses" with a few larger deals thrown in over the years. Jim concentrates on the West Michigan market.
Jim has also been an owner of a small trucking company, an equipment rental company and several retail party stores over the years. Jim has that ownership experience and has actually bought and sold his own businesses which helps to negotiate the best possible deals for his clients. He now concentrates his efforts solely on the sale of and evaluation of small business in West Michigan.
Jim attends monthly meetings of Business Brokers both in Grand Rapids and the Metropolitan Detroit areas to promote his client's businesses for sale and to find businesses for his Buyer Clients. He also attends meetings with Illinois Business Brokers at the Midwest Business Brokers & Intermediaries organization in Chicago. Jim makes deals through cooperation with other business brokers and working with clients' CPA's , Attorneys and Bankers. This networking ability is a must to provide the best services possible.
